Nails at the Golden Globes 2014

The nails on display at the Golden Globes this year could very easily be categorised into three distinct trends: Nude, Dark and Metallic.

Transitional periods, such as this between Winter and Spring can leave nail colour choices up in the air.  This probably explains why there was such an even spread between the three trends.

Nude manicures could be seen on lots of hands at the Golden Globes, such as Hayden Panettiere and Lupita Nyong’o, which offered a neutral contrast against bolder fashion choices.   Whilst the dress may have left little to be desired…Jennifer Lawrence could be seen sporting dark nails as well as Kate Beckinsale (who looked gorgeous!) and Reese Witherspoon.

Firmly flying the flag for nail art, were of course Zooey Deschanel and Kelly Osbourne.  It’s no secret that these two like to adorn their nails with all sorts of designs, and they certainly didn’t disappoint – with Miss Kelly O adding Golden Globes to her nails.

  2. Awesome post! Really enjoyed it : )
Kaley Cuoco’s metallics look great, Michelle Dockery’s too. I’m not too into metallic nails, but it looks good on them, not too boring.

    • Yay! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂 I totally agree with you – the metallics looked great on them, it’s all about getting the right sort of shade not all metallics turn out nice
